đź“‚ Projects

I am currently involved in the following projects:

  • HP-LC portable MRI: Conceptualization and design of a High Performance Low-Cost portable MRI, designed for of the whole body studies. This project aims to develop a functional prototype for a portable MRI machine.

  • Automatic Standardized Neuro-radiology Report: Development and implementation of deep learning methods to quantify neurological conditions using brain MRI images and patient records. The goal of the project is to equip healthcare services with advanced diagnostic tools that enhance clinical decision-making and facilitate a precision medicine approach.

  • ECARMAC: Creation of harmonized central nervous system studies through high-field MRI for clinical trials. This initiative seeks to standardize MRI acquisition and image processing workflows to ensure robust and reproducible results across multicenter clinical trials.

Additionally, I have also participated in:

  • 2020 – 2024: Improving radiological studies for COVID-19 Cuban protocol.

  • 2017 – 2020: Modifying clinical MRI and design of metamaterials for small animal studies.

  • 2016 – 2020: Converting new beta amyloid related molecules AMYLOVIS® into MRI contrasts for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease.
